Official Mashable Meetup for Silicon Valley Social Media Day, 2011

My last stop in California was the Mashable Meet up for Silicon Valley Social Media Day, 2011. Unfortunately, I just heard about this event only in San Jose, but I registered right away and it was really great.

I had the chance to meet people from Talenthouse (They were one of the hosts of this event). What I didn’t know was that Austrians were in the founding team. So Austria was quite a name, at least at that event.

Talenthouse is a platform providing opportunities to the world’s creative community – a place to participate in unique projects with artists and brands, collaborate, gain recognition and compensation.

The second host of this conference was wildfire.

We provide easy-to-use tools for companies & agencies to build & launch social media marketing campaigns on Facebook, Twitter & websites (via Facebook Connect).

ShareThis was also a co-host of this event and seeing the people behind this service was really great.

ShareThis offers the most innovative sharing platform for today’s social audience. Our suite of solutions for advertisers and publishers inspire people to do more of what we believe is the foundation of digital life – to share.

In the final analysis, it was a promising party with a lot of interesting talks. For me, it provided a great opportunity to see some of the people behind the startups of Silicon Valley.
